What is an SEO MCP server?

How do I use an SEO MCP in Claude or Claude Code?
In Claude Code, run the one-line `claude mcp add` command shown on this page. In Claude, add a custom connector with the server URL. Sign in with OAuth when asked.
Is there an SEO API as well as MCP?
Yes. The same data is available over a REST API with the same API key and the same prepaid credits, so you can call it from your own code or app.
How is it billed?
Data servers are pay as you go from prepaid API credits, sold in packs of $5, $20 or $100. Each paid call deducts its price and failed calls are free. There is no subscription. The Search Console + Bing server is free, and URL indexing submission to IndexNow and Bing is free.
How is this different from DataForSEO or SerpApi?
